A successful 11 to 18 Secondary School in Blackpool is looking to appoint an experienced and highly analytical Data Manager to oversee the school's data systems and reporting processes. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking school where accurate data plays a vital role in supporting student achievement, curriculum planning and whole-school improvement.
Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, Heads of Department and administrative colleagues, you will take responsibility for managing student data, producing performance reports and ensuring the school's information systems remain accurate, compliant and effective.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys analysing information, identifying trends and supporting school leaders through reliable data reporting.

Data Team
The Data Team provides accurate and timely information that supports teaching, learning and strategic decision-making across the school.
Responsibilities include:
Managing the school's Management Information System (MIS).
Producing student progress and attainment reports.
Analysing attendance, behaviour and assessment data.
Supporting examination data submissions.
Preparing reports for governors and senior leaders.
Maintaining the accuracy of student records.
Managing census returns and statutory data submissions.
Supporting departments with assessment data analysis.
Developing and maintaining reporting systems.
Training staff on data processes where required.
Ensuring GDPR compliance and data security.
Monitoring key performance indicators across the school.
Supporting whole-school improvement planning through data analysis.
Liaising with examination officers and external agencies.
Identifying trends that support intervention strategies.
Requirements
Previous experience working as a Data Manager or within school data administration.
Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
Strong knowledge of Management Information Systems.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to interpret and present complex data clearly.
Strong organisational skills.
Ability to meet strict deadlines.
Commitment to confidentiality and safeguarding.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
