The Opportunity

As a member of the Science and Mathematics Department, you will:

• Teach Science and Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach A Level depending on experience.

• Deliver engaging, practical and intellectually stimulating lessons.

• Develop students' scientific enquiry, mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills.

• Prepare students for examination success while fostering genuine enthusiasm for both subjects.

• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.

• Support enrichment activities including STEM clubs, competitions, educational visits, science fairs and outreach events.

• Play an active role in the wider life of the school through pastoral care and extracurricular involvement.

About You

The successful candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.

• Possess excellent subject knowledge across Science and Mathematics.

• Have experience teaching Science and/or Mathematics at GCSE, with A Level experience welcomed.

• Build positive, respectful and productive relationships with students.

• Demonstrate consistently high expectations for achievement, effort and behaviour.

• Bring enthusiasm, creativity and innovative teaching approaches to the classroom.

• Enjoy working collaboratively within a supportive department and wider school community.
