You will have the opportunity to deliver engaging and stimulating Psychology lessons, developing students' understanding of psychological theories, research methods and contemporary issues. You will inspire students to question, analyse evidence and apply psychological concepts to real-world situations while preparing them for academic success.
The Opportunity
As a member of the Psychology Department, you will:
Teach Psychology across the relevant Key Stages, with opportunities to teach GCSE and A Level depending on experience.
Deliver engaging, challenging and intellectually stimulating Psychology lessons.
Develop students' understanding of psychological theories, research methods and key concepts.
Encourage critical thinking, evaluation and the application of psychological knowledge to real-world situations.
Prepare students for examination success while fostering genuine enthusiasm for Psychology.
Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.
Support enrichment activities, Psychology clubs, educational visits and wider school events.
Play an active role in the wider life of the school through pastoral care and extracurricular involvement.
About You
The successful candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
Possess strong subject knowledge in Psychology.
Have experience teaching Psychology at GCSE and/or A Level.
Build positive, respectful and productive relationships with students.
Demonstrate consistently high expectations for achievement, effort and behaviour.
Bring enthusiasm, creativity and innovative teaching approaches to the classroom.
Enjoy working collaboratively within a supportive department and wider school community.
