A successful secondary school in Carlisle is seeking a professional and highly organised School Administrator to join its friendly office team. Working closely with the Office Manager and Senior Leadership Team, you will provide administrative support across a range of school functions, ensuring the school office operates smoothly every day. This varied role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to communicate confidently with a wide range of stakeholders.
The successful candidate will become an integral member of the support staff team, helping to ensure the school continues to provide an outstanding experience for the whole school community.

Administration Team
The Administration Team plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operation of the school while providing excellent customer service to students, parents and visitors.
Your responsibilities will include:
Acting as the first point of contact for visitors and telephone enquiries.
Managing the school's reception area.
Maintaining accurate pupil records using the school's MIS.
Preparing letters, reports and confidential documentation.
Supporting admissions and enrolment administration.
Coordinating meetings and diary management.
Processing incoming and outgoing correspondence.
Ordering office supplies and maintaining stock.
Supporting attendance administration when required.
Assisting with school events and parents' evenings.
Maintaining confidential records in accordance with GDPR.
Providing administrative support to senior leaders and teaching staff.

Requirements
Previous school or office administration experience.
Excellent organisational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
Experience using school MIS systems is desirable.
