A renowned Secondary School in Bath is seeking a professional, highly analytical, and exceptionally organised Science Teacher specializing in Physics to join their high-performing STEM faculty. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day instructional leadership across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. Your timetable will involve deconstructing fundamental mechanics, energy transformations, and electromagnetism at Key Stage 3 and GCSE, alongside delivering advanced quantum mechanics, astrophysics, and circuit thermodynamics modules to ambitious A-Level cohorts. You will work closely with a highly skilled technician team to safely manage equipment arrays, track student progress data using the school's central MIS, and coordinate extracurricular programs such as engineering clubs and national physics olympiads.

Absolute professionalism, strong mathematical literacy, and a collaborative mindset are vital to balancing busy experimental schedules with structured student monitoring and target reporting.

Requirements

• A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) with a degree in Physics, Engineering, or a highly related numerical discipline

• Proven experience planning and delivering Physics up to GCSE and A-Level specifications

• Clear understanding of school laboratory safety protocols and compliance (CLEAPSS & COSHH)

• Excellent IT literacy, with the confidence to utilize central tracking systems to monitor student progress data

• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to curriculum planning
