Business Teacher Role in a High-Performing College

About the Role
The successful candidate will teach Business Studies across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging lessons that develop students’ understanding of enterprise, finance, marketing, operations, and the wider business world.
Students study a broad curriculum that encourages analytical thinking, evaluation skills, and the ability to apply business concepts to real-world scenarios. You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Business examinations while helping them develop confidence in decision-making and commercial awareness.
You will also contribute to the wider life of the department through enterprise projects, careers events, enrichment activities, and opportunities that connect classroom learning with the world of work.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Business Studies across KS4 and KS5
Deliver engaging and challenging lessons
Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Business examinations
Develop students’ analytical and evaluation skills
Assess progress and provide high-quality feedback
Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
Support enterprise activities and enrichment opportunities
Inspire students to develop commercial awareness and ambition

Candidate Requirements
Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
Experience teaching Business Studies at secondary or post-16 level
Ability to teach GCSE and A-Level Business confidently
Strong subject knowledge and communication skills
Excellent classroom management abilities
Desirable
Experience teaching A-Level Business Studies
Experience supporting enterprise or careers initiatives
Industry experience within a business-related field
A proven track record of delivering strong student outcomes
