About the Role
The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging and challenging lessons that develop students’ mathematical understanding, reasoning, and problem-solving abilities.
Students follow an ambitious curriculum covering algebra, geometry, statistics, probability, and advanced mathematical concepts. You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Mathematics examinations while encouraging independent thinking and confidence when tackling complex problems.
You will also contribute to the wider life of the department through maths clubs, competitions, intervention programmes, and enrichment activities that inspire students beyond the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Mathematics across KS3, KS4, and KS5
Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons
Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Mathematics examinations
Develop students’ reasoning and problem-solving skills
Assess progress and provide high-quality feedback
Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
Support maths enrichment and intervention activities
Encourage enthusiasm and confidence in Mathematics

Candidate Requirements
Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level
Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently
Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Desirable
Experience teaching A-Level or Further Mathematics
Experience supporting maths competitions or enrichment programmes
Ability to inspire and challenge students of all abilities
A proven track record of delivering strong student outcomes
