About the Role
The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging and challenging lessons that develop students' mathematical fluency, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
Students follow a broad curriculum including algebra, geometry, statistics, probability, and calculus, preparing them for GCSE and A-Level Mathematics examinations. You will encourage students to think logically, approach problems with confidence, and apply mathematical concepts to real-world situations.
You will also contribute to the wider life of the department through maths intervention programmes, UKMT competitions, enrichment activities, and extracurricular opportunities designed to inspire students beyond the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Mathematics across KS3, KS4, and KS5
Deliver engaging, well-planned, and differentiated lessons
Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Mathematics examinations
Develop students' reasoning, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Assess progress and provide high-quality, constructive feedback
Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
Support maths intervention, enrichment, and extracurricular activities
Foster confidence, resilience, and enthusiasm for Mathematics

Candidate Requirements
Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level
Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently
Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Desirable
Experience teaching A-Level or Further Mathematics
Experience supporting maths competitions or enrichment programmes
Ability to inspire students of all abilities
A proven track record of delivering excellent student outcomes
