Art Department

The Art curriculum encourages children to experiment with a wide range of materials while developing technical skills, creativity and confidence. As Art Technician, you will provide practical support that enables teachers to deliver inspiring lessons across all year groups.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing materials and equipment for Art lessons.

• Organising paints, clay, paper and specialist resources.

• Maintaining art cupboards and preparation areas.

• Supporting teachers during practical activities where appropriate.

• Displaying pupils' artwork throughout the school.

• Monitoring stock levels and ordering materials.

• Maintaining specialist equipment.

• Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed.

• Assisting with whole-school art projects and exhibitions.

• Supporting after-school creative clubs where required.

• Keeping workspaces organised and well presented.

• Helping create an inspiring environment that celebrates creativity.

The successful candidate will become an important member of the wider school team, helping provide engaging creative opportunities for every pupil.

Requirements

• Previous experience in an Art department or creative environment is desirable.
