A welcoming primary school in the London Borough of Hillingdon is looking to appoint an experienced and proactive Premises Manager to oversee the management of its buildings and grounds. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong facilities management experience who enjoys leading a team while ensuring pupils learn within a safe, secure and well-maintained environment.
Working closely with the Headteacher and School Business Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the school site, leading the premises function while ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation. You will coordinate maintenance programmes, supervise contractors and support future site improvement projects.
The successful candidate will enjoy working in a varied role where organisation, leadership and practical problem-solving are essential.

Premises Team
The Premises Team is responsible for ensuring the school site remains safe, compliant and welcoming throughout the year.
As Premises Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Managing the daily operation of the school site.
Leading the premises and cleaning teams.
Coordinating planned and reactive maintenance.
Managing contractors and monitoring completed works.
Overseeing statutory compliance checks.
Maintaining health and safety procedures.
Monitoring fire safety systems and emergency procedures.
Preparing facilities for school events and lettings.
Managing premises budgets and quotations.
Maintaining compliance records and documentation.
Planning future maintenance and improvement projects.
Ensuring the school environment remains safe, secure and well presented.
The successful candidate will become an integral member of the leadership support team, helping maintain an outstanding learning environment where children and staff can flourish.
Requirements
Previous premises or facilities management experience.
Experience leading a team.
Good knowledge of health and safety legislation.
Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
