Mathematics Teacher – Progressive Secondary Academy in Winchester
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Paid to scale
The Role
A high-performing Secondary Academy in the Winchester and Chandler's Ford area is seeking a professional, mathematically minded, and structurally organized Mathematics Teacher to join their prominent STEM faculty. This role is an outstanding opportunity to champion structural logic, numerical literacy, and advanced analytical reasoning within an oversubscribed school known for its academic ambition.
The successful candidate will provide day-to-day instructional leadership across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. The timetable involves delivering a rich, challenging curriculum covering core numerical logic, quadratic functions, and trigonometry at GCSE, alongside pure calculus, algebraic modeling, statistical structures, and mechanics models for A-Level exam cohorts. Beyond classroom teaching, responsibilities include constructing comprehensive student tracking profiles, deploying targeted technical intervention tracks for mathematical data fluency, managing parental correspondence, and supporting the school's regional engineering challenges and UKMT mathematics tournaments.
You will act as a primary link with parents, examination boards, and local STEM networks, requiring absolute professionalism and data accuracy at all times. Strong organizational skills are a prerequisite, as you will balance heavy mock diagnostic marking cycles with real-time digital progress tracking inside an active secondary school framework.
