The Role

Beyond standard lessons, you will be expected to construct precise student tracking portfolios, update secure school databases, manage hardware lab asset logs, and actively coordinate the school's robotics leagues and engineering design societies.

You will support crisp communication with parents, external examination boards, and local technology networks, ensuring all practical manufacturing projects and theoretical exam logs are processed with total accuracy. Strong administrative skills are a prerequisite to balancing fast-paced practical workshop setups with systematic health and safety verification records.

Requirements

• A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) with a degree in Design & Technology, Engineering, or a highly related discipline

• Proven experience teaching Design & Technology specifications up to GCSE and A-Level tracks with strong academic results

• Strong data literacy and IT skills, with complete confidence using digital learning tracking platforms and CAD software tools

• Professional and proactive approach to monitoring student progress metrics and tracking practical manufacturing portfolios safely

• Ability to work effectively and adaptably within a fast-paced, highly physical workshop environment
