The successful candidate will provide day-to-day instructional leadership across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. The timetable involves delivering a rich, challenging curriculum covering core numerical logic, quadratic functions, and trigonometry frameworks at GCSE, alongside pure calculus, algebraic modeling, statistical structures, and mechanics models for A-Level exam cohorts. Beyond classroom teaching, responsibilities include constructing comprehensive student tracking portfolios, implementing targeted technical intervention tracks for mathematical data fluency, managing parental correspondence, and supporting the school's regional engineering challenges and UKMT mathematics tournaments.
You will act as a primary link with parents, examination boards, and local university STEM networks, requiring absolute professionalism and data accuracy at all times. Strong organisational skills are a prerequisite, as you will balance heavy mock diagnostic marking cycles with real-time digital progress logging within a fast-paced school framework. Requirements
A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) with a degree in Mathematics or a highly related numerical field
Proven experience teaching Mathematics specifications up to GCSE and A-Level
Strong data literacy and IT skills, with complete confidence using digital learning tracking systems
Professional and proactive approach to monitoring pupil metrics and target tracking data
Ability to work effectively and adaptably within a fast-paced, high-achieving department
