Working closely with the School Business Manager and Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for supporting the school's financial operations, ensuring all financial procedures are completed accurately, efficiently and in accordance with school policies and financial regulations. This position requires someone who can manage competing priorities, communicate effectively with colleagues and external suppliers, and maintain the highest levels of confidentiality.
The successful candidate will become part of a collaborative support staff team where professionalism, teamwork and continuous improvement are highly valued.

Finance Team
The Finance Team plays an essential role in supporting the day-to-day operation of the school, ensuring financial systems run efficiently while providing accurate information to senior leaders and budget holders.
As Finance Officer, your responsibilities will include:
Processing purchase orders, invoices and supplier payments.
Reconciling financial records and maintaining accurate accounts.
Assisting with monthly budget monitoring and financial reporting.
Supporting the preparation of annual budgets.
Managing income received by the school.
Liaising with suppliers regarding invoices and payments.
Processing staff expense claims.
Maintaining financial records in accordance with school procedures.
Assisting with audit preparation.
Supporting procurement processes and obtaining quotations.
Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
Providing financial administrative support to the School Business Manager.
The successful candidate will work within an experienced finance team that values accuracy, collaboration and delivering an efficient financial service to the wider school community.
Requirements
Previous finance or accounting experience.
Good understanding of financial administration.
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Excellent organisational skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
Experience using finance software is desirable.
Ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
