An established primary school in Maidstone is seeking an experienced and highly organised Office Manager to lead its busy administration function. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who enjoys managing people, improving systems and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of a welcoming school office.
The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of school administration while acting as a key point of contact for parents, staff, governors and external agencies. Working closely with the Headteacher and senior leadership team, you will help ensure the school continues to deliver an efficient, professional and friendly administrative service that supports excellent outcomes for pupils.
This position would suit someone with excellent leadership skills, strong organisational ability and previous experience within a school or similarly busy administrative environment.

Office Team
The school office is at the centre of daily school life and plays an essential role in ensuring the school operates efficiently. The Office Manager leads a dedicated administrative team responsible for supporting pupils, families, teaching staff and senior leaders across a wide range of operational areas.
The successful candidate will oversee administrative systems while ensuring the office provides an excellent level of customer service to everyone within the school community.
Responsibilities include:
Managing the day-to-day operation of the school office.
Supervising and supporting administrative staff.
Developing and improving office procedures.
Managing admissions administration and pupil records.
Maintaining the school's management information system.
Supporting recruitment administration and onboarding processes.
Coordinating communication with parents and external organisations.
Preparing reports and documentation for senior leaders and governors.
Managing office budgets and ordering supplies.
Monitoring contracts for office equipment and external services.
Supporting school events and ensuring administrative arrangements run smoothly.
Ensuring GDPR compliance and maintaining confidential records.
Providing administrative support to the Headteacher where required.

Requirements
Previous experience managing a school office or busy administrative team.
Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
High level of IT competence including Microsoft Office.
