Your Role
As Second in Geography, you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact both inside and outside the classroom.
Your responsibilities will include:
Teaching Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach A Level for the right candidate.
Supporting the Head of Department in leading the Geography curriculum and departmental improvement.
Helping to develop innovative schemes of work and high-quality teaching resources.
Monitoring student progress and supporting strategies that raise attainment across all key stages.
Coaching and supporting colleagues through collaboration, resource sharing and best practice.
Delivering engaging lessons that develop geographical enquiry, critical thinking and environmental awareness.
Promoting fieldwork and enrichment opportunities, including educational visits, competitions and Geography clubs.
Helping maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement and student engagement.
Playing an active role in the wider pastoral and extracurricular life of the school.

About You
We're looking for someone who combines excellent classroom practice with the ambition to grow as a leader.
The successful candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
Have experience teaching Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4, with Key Stage 5 experience desirable.
Demonstrate a track record of delivering high-quality teaching and strong student outcomes.
Be ready to take on leadership responsibilities within a successful department.
Have excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Inspire students through engaging, inclusive and challenging lessons.
Be committed to collaboration, continuous improvement and professional development.
Build positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents.
Have the legal right to work in the UK.
