A Snapshot of the Role
Teaching
Teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Opportunity to teach Biology, Chemistry or Physics at Key Stage 5, depending on your specialism.
Deliver engaging lessons that combine practical investigation with strong theoretical understanding.
Encourage students to question, investigate and think like scientists.
Beyond the Classroom
Lead or support STEM clubs and enrichment activities.
Contribute to Science Week, competitions and educational visits.
Help shape an ambitious and engaging Science curriculum.
Share ideas and resources with a collaborative department committed to continual improvement.
Supporting Student Success
Monitor progress through effective assessment.
Provide high-quality feedback that helps students improve.
Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
Build positive relationships that encourage confidence and resilience.

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Has a degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or a related scientific discipline.
Is confident teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Has a passion for practical learning and scientific enquiry.
Is positive, reflective and committed to continuous professional development.
Can motivate students through engaging, well-planned lessons.
Enjoys collaborating with colleagues and contributing to a supportive team environment.
