What You'll Be Doing

As a member of their Geography department, you'll have the opportunity to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with A-Level teaching available for the right candidate.

Your role will include:

• Delivering engaging, enquiry-based lessons that encourage students to think critically about the world around them.

• Bringing topics such as physical landscapes, environmental change, globalisation and sustainable development to life.

• Preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations while nurturing a genuine enthusiasm for the subject.

• Using fieldwork, technology and current affairs to enrich learning and develop geographical enquiry skills.

• Monitoring progress through effective assessment and providing feedback that helps every student succeed.

• Working closely with colleagues to develop exciting curriculum resources and share best practice.

• Supporting educational visits, field trips and enrichment activities that extend learning beyond the classroom.

• Taking an active role in the pastoral life of the school as a Form Tutor.

About You

We're looking for someone who loves their subject and enjoys sharing that passion with young people.

You'll ideally have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or be on track to achieve it.

• A degree in Geography or a closely related discipline.

• Excellent subject knowledge and a commitment to high-quality teaching.

• The ability to motivate, challenge and inspire students of all abilities.

• High expectations of both academic achievement and student wellbeing.

• A collaborative approach and a willingness to contribute to school life beyond the classroom.
