The successful candidate will lead the day-to-day operational safety, clean logistics, and mechanical efficiency of the school's SEND pathways. Key responsibilities include overseeing statutory annual reviews, drafting multi-tier support and assessment files, managing funding applications, and ensuring complete compliance with all national and local authority educational regulations. You will also oversee access arrangement testing parameters for external examination cycles, match provisions to student needs profiles, and guide class teachers on high-utility strategies for neurodiverse learners.
You will act as the principal point of contact for external agencies, medical professionals, and parents, requiring absolute professionalism, calm problem-solving capabilities, and crisp communication. You will balance detailed data logging on digital dashboards with active student mentoring, ensuring that all intervention tracks translate into measurable academic and social progress.

Requirements
A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) with a track record of classroom excellence
Mandatory possession of the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or the current NPQSENCO qualification
Deep working knowledge of the statutory SEND Code of Practice, EHCP assessment procedures, and examination access arrangements
Strong IT and data management capabilities, with confidence utilizing digital student tracking platforms and asset software
Ability to lead, inspire, and manage a collaborative team of learning support professionals effectively
