Site Supervisor
A welcoming Primary School in the London Borough of Merton is seeking a reliable and proactive Site Supervisor to join its premises team on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a practical and varied role while taking pride in maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors. The successful candidate will ensure the school's buildings and grounds are maintained to an excellent standard and remain fully operational throughout the year.
Working alongside the Headteacher and School Business Manager, you will carry out daily opening and closing procedures, complete routine site inspections and respond promptly to maintenance requests. You will undertake minor repairs, monitor the condition of classrooms and communal areas and ensure all facilities remain safe, clean and well presented.
The role includes supervising contractors, coordinating planned maintenance, assisting with statutory compliance checks and preparing facilities for assemblies, performances, parents' evenings, sports events and community lettings. You will also maintain the school's external grounds, support furniture moves, receive deliveries and monitor site security systems.
Health and safety will form a key part of your responsibilities, including carrying out routine compliance checks, reporting maintenance issues and ensuring all work is completed in accordance with school policies and current legislation.
The successful candidate will possess excellent practical skills, strong organisational abilities and the confidence to work independently while maintaining consistently high standards across the school site.

Requirements
Previous Site Supervisor, Caretaker or Facilities experience desirable
Good practical maintenance and repair skills
Knowledge of health and safety procedures
Excellent organisational abilities
Ability to work independently and prioritise workloads
Flexible, reliable and professional approach
Commitment to maintaining a safe learning environment
