CORE PURPOSE
We require an inspiring, highly methodical Mathematics Teacher to deliver outstanding numeracy and mathematical instruction across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with opportunities to contribute to post-16 advanced analytical pathways. GCSE Performance Optimization: Guide Year 11 examination cohorts meticulously through the rigorous demands of linear terminal Higher and Foundation tier papers, utilizing diagnostic data tracking to eliminate persistent mathematical misconceptions and maximize high-grade retention.
Closing Numeracy & Progress Gaps: Identify and target learning barriers within mixed-ability cohorts, deploying explicit mathematical intervention strategies, targeted scaffolding, and structured retrieval practice to ensure accessibility for SEND pupils while stretching high-prior-attaining mathematicians.
Inclusive Pastoral Support: Fulfil full form tutor responsibilities within an established year group structure, supporting pupil wellbeing, managing daily registration routines, and maintaining proactive, positive communication with local families.
PROFILE REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised equivalent teaching credential, paired with a strong honours degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a closely related quantitative or scientific discipline.
Pedagogical Capability: A proven track record or clear capacity to deliver strong progress metrics and exceptional performance outcomes in terminal public GCSE specifications through highly structured, systematic, and explicit mathematics pedagogy.
