A successful Comprehensive School in Chelmsford is seeking to appoint an ambitious and knowledgeable Business Teacher to join its flourishing Business and Social Sciences department from September. About the Role

The successful candidate will teach Business across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging and academically challenging lessons that develop students' analytical, evaluative, and decision-making skills.

Students study a wide range of business topics including marketing, finance, operations, human resources, and business strategy. You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Business examinations while encouraging them to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world business scenarios through case studies and enterprise activities.

You will also contribute to the wider life of the department through enterprise competitions, careers events, employer partnerships, business workshops, and enrichment opportunities that broaden students' understanding of the commercial world.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Business across KS4 and KS5

• Deliver engaging, challenging, and well-structured lessons

• Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Business examinations

Candidate Requirements

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching Business Studies at secondary level

• Ability to teach KS4 and KS5 confidently

• Strong subject knowledge in Business

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills

Desirable

• Experience teaching A-Level Business

• Ability to contribute to Economics or related Social Sciences

• Experience leading enterprise or careers initiatives

• A proven track record of delivering strong student outcomes
