CORE PURPOSE
We require an inspiring, highly analytical Economics Teacher to deliver outstanding economic and financial instruction across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, with a primary focus on driving academic excellence across A-Level, International Baccalaureate (IB), or equivalent advanced academic pathways. Operating within a prestigious, oversubscribed independent day and boarding school, the successful candidate will facilitate a knowledge-rich, inquiry-driven curriculum designed to foster deep conceptual understanding of macroeconomics, microeconomics, market mechanics, and global financial systems, preparing all pupils thoroughly for exceptional outcomes in public examinations and highly competitive university admissions.

Analytical & Quantitative Scaffolding: Train pupils to an elite technical standard in interpreting complex economic models, data trends, and mathematical proofs, utilizing structured analytical templates to build advanced evaluation skills and examination precision.
A-Level & IB Performance Optimization: Guide sixth form examination cohorts meticulously through the rigorous demands of terminal papers, utilizing diagnostic data tracking and precise essay-writing frameworks to maximize a high density of top-tier marks (A*/A or equivalent).
Oxbridge & Higher Education Preparation: Provide dedicated academic mentorship for pupils aspiring to read Economics, PPE, or related disciplines at elite universities, leading extension seminars, mock interviews, and admissions test preparation (such as the TMUA or ECAA).
Holistic School Contribution: Fulfil comprehensive pastoral and tutorial responsibilities within an established house structure, supporting day and boarding pupil wellbeing, managing daily routines, and actively contributing to the school's vibrant co-curricular program.
PROFILE REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised equivalent teaching credential (or a proven track record of exceptional teaching within the independent sector), paired with a strong honours degree in Economics, Finance, or a closely related quantitative social science from a reputable institution.
Pedagogical Capability: A proven track record or clear capacity to deliver strong progress metrics and exceptional performance outcomes in advanced public examinations (A-Level/IB) through highly structured, systematic, and explicit economic pedagogy.
