CORE PURPOSE
We require an inspiring, highly methodical Mathematics Teacher to deliver advanced, rigorous mathematical instruction across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with opportunities to contribute to post-16 higher-level analytical pathways. Operating within an ambitious, oversubscribed selective grammar school, the successful candidate will facilitate a fast-paced, academic curriculum designed to foster deep conceptual mastery, elegant algebraic fluency, and sophisticated problem-solving skills, preparing highly able pupils thoroughly for exceptional outcomes at the highest grade boundaries in terminal GCSE Mathematics public examinations.

Higher-Level Problem-Solving & Extracurricular Stretching: Train pupils to a high technical standard in breaking down non-routine mathematical puzzles, integrating preparations for national mathematics challenges (such as the UKMT) to build logical resilience and elite examination stamina.
GCSE Performance Optimization (Grades 7–9): Guide Year 11 examination cohorts meticulously through the rigorous demands of linear terminal Higher tier papers, utilizing diagnostic data tracking to eliminate subtle misconceptions and maximize a high density of top-tier grades.
Targeted Support & Academic Scaffolding: Identify and target specific learning barriers within highly capable cohorts, deploying precise mathematical intervention strategies, structured retrieval practice, and elegant extension modelling to ensure every pupil maintains excellent progress trajectories.
Inclusive Pastoral Support: Fulfil full form tutor responsibilities within an established year group structure, supporting pupil wellbeing, managing daily registration routines, and maintaining proactive, positive communication with families.
PROFILE REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised equivalent teaching credential, paired with a strong honours degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a closely related quantitative or scientific discipline from a reputable institution.
Pedagogical Capability: A proven track record or clear capacity to deliver strong progress metrics and exceptional performance outcomes in terminal public GCSE specifications through highly structured, systematic, and explicit mathematics pedagogy.
