Mathematics Teacher – Renowned Secondary School in Winchester
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Paid to scale
The Role
A renowned Secondary School in Winchester is seeking a professional, highly analytical, and exceptionally organised Mathematics Teacher to join their prominent STEM faculty. This is a premier opportunity to step into a department where mathematics is a highly popular and successful subject option at Key Stage 5, backed by extensive analytical resources, digital modeling platforms, and a deeply collaborative teacher network.
The successful candidate will provide day-to-day instructional leadership across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. The timetable will involve delivering a rich, challenging curriculum covering pure calculus, algebraic modeling, statistical structures, and geometric proofs for GCSE and A-Level exam cohorts, alongside delivering inclusive logical modules across Key Stage 3. Beyond classroom teaching, responsibilities include constructing comprehensive student tracking portfolios, implementing targeted intervention tracks for quantitative data fluency, managing parental correspondence, and supporting the school's regional engineering challenges and UKMT mathematics tournaments.
You will act as a primary link with parents, examination boards, and local university STEM networks, requiring absolute professionalism and data accuracy at all times. Strong organisational skills are a prerequisite, as you will balance heavy mock diagnostic marking cycles with real-time digital progress logging.
