About the Role
The successful candidate will teach Business across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging and academically rigorous lessons that develop students' commercial understanding, analytical thinking, and entrepreneurial mindset.
Students study a broad curriculum including marketing, finance, operations, human resources, business strategy, and entrepreneurship. You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Business examinations while encouraging them to evaluate contemporary business issues, analyse real-world case studies, and apply theoretical knowledge to practical commercial contexts.
You will also contribute to the wider life of the department through enterprise competitions, careers events, employer engagement activities, business societies, guest speaker programmes, and university preparation initiatives that enrich students' learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Business across KS4 and KS5
Deliver engaging, challenging, and well-structured lessons
Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Business examinations
Develop students' analytical, evaluative, and commercial thinking skills

Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development

Candidate Requirements
Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Business at secondary level
Ability to teach KS4 and KS5 confidently
Strong subject knowledge in Business Studies
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Desirable
Experience teaching A-Level Business
Ability to contribute to Economics or other Social Sciences
Experience leading enterprise or careers enrichment activities
A proven track record of delivering excellent student outcomes
