Salary: Paid to scale (Support Staff Framework)
The Role
A highly regarded Secondary Academy in Reading is seeking a professional, highly driven, and exceptionally organised Premises Manager to oversee the operational compliance, daily maintenance, and physical security of their modern campus. This position is ideal for an experienced facilities coordinator, estates manager, or senior technician looking to step into a prominent leadership role within a well-structured educational framework.

You will also oversee the school's digital facilities helpdesk tracking platform, ensure contractor performance metrics are met during targeted repair works, and optimize the school’s energy efficiency via the building management system (BMS).
You will work closely with the School Business Manager to manage asset registers, draft comprehensive risk assessments, and ensure absolute compliance with health and safety legislation (HASAWA frameworks). Crisp communication, deep data literacy, and a proactive, collaborative approach are required to manage unexpected building emergencies while upholding high standards across the academy estate.
