About the Role
The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging and intellectually stimulating lessons that inspire students to become confident and resilient mathematicians.
Students follow a carefully sequenced curriculum covering number, algebra, geometry, statistics, probability, and mathematical modelling, with opportunities to study A-Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics. You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations while encouraging them to think critically, solve complex problems, and apply mathematical concepts in a variety of contexts.
You will also contribute to curriculum development, intervention programmes, and a wide range of enrichment opportunities including maths clubs, STEM initiatives, the UK Mathematics Challenge, and university outreach activities.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Mathematics across KS3, KS4, and KS5
Deliver engaging, challenging, and well-structured lessons
Prepare students for GCSE, A-Level, and Further Mathematics examinations
Develop students' reasoning, fluency, and problem-solving skills
Assess progress and provide high-quality, constructive feedback
Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
Support mathematics enrichment activities and intervention programmes
Foster a passion for mathematics and academic excellence

Candidate Requirements
Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level
Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently
Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Desirable
Experience teaching A-Level and Further Mathematics
Experience contributing to STEM or mathematics enrichment initiatives
Ability to support intervention programmes that raise attainment
A proven track record of delivering outstanding student outcomes
