Spanish Teacher Role in a High-Performing Secondary School
A high-performing and inclusive Secondary School in Dudley is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Spanish Teacher to join its successful Modern Foreign Languages department from September. About the Role
The successful candidate will teach Spanish across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging and challenging lessons that inspire students to become confident linguists.
Students follow a broad curriculum that develops their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills while exploring the culture, history, and traditions of Spanish-speaking countries. You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations, encouraging them to communicate fluently, think independently, and appreciate the value of languages in an increasingly interconnected world.
You will also contribute to the wider life of the department by supporting language clubs, cultural events, educational visits, exchange opportunities, and enrichment activities that bring language learning to life.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Spanish across KS3, KS4, and KS5
Deliver engaging, challenging, and well-structured lessons
Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Spanish examinations
Develop students' speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills
Assess progress and provide high-quality, constructive feedback
Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
Support language enrichment activities, trips, and cultural events
Foster confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong enthusiasm for languages

Candidate Requirements
Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Spanish at secondary level
Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently
Strong subject knowledge of the Spanish language and culture
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Desirable
Experience teaching A-Level Spanish
Ability to teach a second language such as French
Experience organising language enrichment activities or educational visits
A proven track record of delivering outstanding student outcomes
