We're working with a small, welcoming nursery school in Southwark that is looking to appoint a Premises Officer from September on an ongoing temporary basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced school premises professional looking for a part-time morning role. You'll play a key part in ensuring the nursery remains safe, secure, and ready for children, staff, and families each day.

The Role
As Premises Officer, you'll be responsible for preparing the school for the day ahead and maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities include:
Opening the nursery each morning
Carrying out routine health and safety checks
Completing basic maintenance and minor repairs
Ensuring the site remains secure and well presented
Reporting maintenance issues where required
Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the premises
Contract & Hours
Location: Southwark
Contract: Ongoing temporary
Start Date: September 2026
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 11:30am (20 hours per week)
About You
To be considered, you must have previous experience working within a school environment as a Premises Officer, Caretaker, Site Manager, or similar.
You'll be organised, practical, reliable, and able to work independently while maintaining high standards across the school site.
