An Outstanding Secondary School with Sixth Form in Nottingham is seeking to appoint an ambitious and knowledgeable Business Teacher to join its successful Business and Economics department from September. About the Role
The successful candidate will teach Business across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging and academically rigorous lessons that develop students' commercial awareness, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills.
Students study a broad curriculum including marketing, finance, operations, human resources, entrepreneurship, and business strategy. You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Business examinations while encouraging them to apply theoretical knowledge to contemporary business issues and global markets.
You will also contribute to the wider life of the department through enterprise competitions, business societies, careers events, employer engagement activities, and university preparation programmes that inspire students to pursue ambitious future pathways.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Business across KS4 and KS5
Deliver engaging, challenging, and well-structured lessons
Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Business examinations
Develop students' analytical, evaluative, and commercial thinking skills
Assess progress and provide high-quality, constructive feedback
Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development

Candidate Requirements
Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Business at secondary level
Ability to teach KS4 and KS5 confidently
Strong subject knowledge in Business Studies
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Desirable
Experience teaching A-Level Business
Ability to contribute to Economics or other Social Sciences
Experience leading enterprise or careers enrichment activities
A proven track record of delivering excellent student outcomes
