The Role

A high-achieving Secondary Academy in Sherborne is seeking a professional, commercially minded, and highly organised Economics & Business Studies Teacher to join their experienced Social Sciences faculty. Key responsibilities include maintaining precise student progress logs, constructing multi-tier internal assessment files, managing parent-teacher communications, and actively mentoring student cohorts entering national business enterprise challenges and market simulations. You will support crisp communication with parents, university finance networks, and external examination boards, ensuring that all examination documentation, coursework files, and student assessment metrics are processed with total accuracy.

Strong administrative and organizational skills are crucial, as the role requires managing distinct specification tracking channels across a large and driven student cohort. Requirements

• A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) with a relevant degree in Economics, Business, or a closely related discipline

• Previous experience delivering Economics and Business Studies up to A-Level with a track record of strong results

• Strong data literacy and IT skills, with complete confidence using digital learning tracking systems and statistical data

• Professional and proactive approach to monitoring pupil metrics and preparing student examination portfolios
