The Role
A thriving Secondary School in Southampton is seeking a professional, highly articulate, and exceptionally organised MFL Teacher specializing in Spanish and French to join their dedicated Languages faculty. Beyond classroom teaching, you will be expected to construct precise student progress tracking portfolios, manage modern digital language laboratories, coordinate foreign language assistants, and actively lead the school’s international exchange tracks, European cinema clubs, and regional debating competitions.
You will support crisp communication with parents, international partner schools, and external examination boards, ensuring that all oral exam moderation recordings and student assessment profiles are processed with total accuracy and compliance. Strong administrative and organizational skills are crucial, as the role requires balancing oral assessment tracking cycles with rigorous theoretical exam preparation within a busy secondary school framework.

Requirements
A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) with a degree in Spanish, French, or Modern Languages
Previous experience delivering Spanish and French specifications up to GCSE (and ideally A-Level) with strong results
Near-native fluency in Spanish and French, with an exceptional grasp of target language phonetics and syntax
Strong data literacy and IT skills, with complete confidence using digital learning tracking systems and language software
Ability to work effectively and adaptably within a fast-paced, high-achieving faculty
