The Role

A highly regarded Secondary Academy in Manchester is seeking a professional, highly analytical, and exceptionally organised Sociology Teacher to join their experienced and successful Social Sciences faculty. You will act as a primary link with parents, examination boards, and local university social science networks, requiring absolute professionalism and data accuracy at all times. Strong organisational skills are a prerequisite, as you will balance heavy mock diagnostic marking cycles with real-time digital progress logging within a fast-paced urban school framework.

Requirements

• A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) with a degree in Sociology or a closely related social science discipline

• Proven experience teaching Sociology up to GCSE and A-Level specifications

• Strong data literacy and IT skills, with complete confidence using digital learning tracking systems

• Professional and proactive approach to monitoring pupil metrics and textual progress logs

• Ability to work effectively and adaptably within a fast-paced department
