Art Technician
A welcoming Primary School in Cheltenham is seeking a creative and organised Art Technician to support its vibrant Art curriculum on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who enjoys working in a creative environment and is passionate about helping children explore their artistic talents. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to prepare resources, maintain equipment and support engaging practical art lessons across the school.
You will prepare paints, drawing materials, clay, textiles, printing resources and a variety of specialist equipment ready for lessons, ensuring classrooms are fully equipped before each session. You will maintain stock levels, organise storage areas and order new materials as required to ensure the department remains well resourced throughout the academic year.
The role also includes maintaining specialist equipment, displaying pupils' artwork around the school, preparing exhibitions for parents' evenings and school events and supporting a range of creative enrichment activities including art clubs and themed curriculum projects.
You will ensure all art resources are stored safely, maintain a clean and organised working environment and support teachers during practical lessons where required.
The successful candidate will be highly organised, practical and enthusiastic, with a genuine passion for supporting creative learning and encouraging children to develop confidence through art.

Requirements
Previous Art Technician or creative studio experience desirable
Good practical knowledge of a range of artistic materials
Excellent organisational skills
Ability to maintain equipment and resources
Good communication and teamwork skills
Understanding of health and safety within practical classrooms
Passion for supporting creative education
