About the Role
The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging and intellectually stimulating lessons that develop confidence, fluency, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
Students follow a carefully sequenced curriculum covering number, algebra, geometry, statistics, probability, and mathematical modelling, with many progressing to study A-Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics. You will inspire students to think critically, embrace challenge, and develop the analytical skills required for academic success and a wide range of future pathways.
In addition to classroom teaching, you will contribute to intervention programmes, curriculum development, and a variety of enrichment opportunities including the UK Mathematics Challenge, STEM events, university outreach programmes, and maths mentoring initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Mathematics across KS3, KS4, and KS5
Deliver engaging, challenging, and differentiated lessons
Prepare students for GCSE, A-Level, and Further Mathematics examinations
Develop students' mathematical reasoning, fluency, and problem-solving skills
Assess progress and provide high-quality, constructive feedback
Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
Support intervention programmes and mathematics enrichment activities
Promote high aspirations and a lifelong appreciation for Mathematics

Candidate Requirements
Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level
Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently
Excellent subject knowledge in Mathematics
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Desirable
Experience teaching A-Level and Further Mathematics
Experience supporting students preparing for mathematics competitions
Ability to contribute to STEM enrichment initiatives
A proven track record of delivering outstanding student outcomes
