The Role
A renowned Secondary School in Bath is seeking a professional, creative, and highly organised Music Teacher to join their expanding Performing Arts team. The successful candidate will deliver a dynamic and challenging timetable across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, preparing students for exceptional outcomes in music composition, performance, and historical listening analysis up to GCSE and A-Level. Beyond classroom teaching, you will be expected to construct precise student progress tracking logs, manage software license parameters across the department's digital keyboards and computers, coordinate peripatetic music instructors, and actively lead the school’s competitive choirs, concert bands, and seasonal showcase performances.
You will support crisp communication with parents, visiting tutors, and external examination boards, ensuring that all practical performance moderation logs and student assessment profiles are processed with total accuracy. Strong administrative and organizational skills are crucial, as the role requires balancing technical rehearsal schedules with complex theoretical exam preparation within a busy secondary school framework.

Requirements
A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) with a degree in Music or a closely related discipline
Previous experience delivering Music specifications up to GCSE and A-Level with strong results
Strong data literacy and IT skills, with complete confidence using digital music software (e.g., Sibelius, Logic Pro)
Professional and proactive approach to monitoring student metrics and running practical performance evaluations
Ability to work effectively and adaptably within a fast-paced, high-achieving faculty
