Design & Technology Teacher

You would be joining a highly successful Design & Technology department where practical learning, innovation and creativity are central to the curriculum. The department is exceptionally well resourced, with specialist workshops for Product Design, Resistant Materials and CAD/CAM technology, allowing students to develop a wide range of technical and creative skills.

Students are encouraged to become independent designers and problem-solvers through engaging projects that combine practical manufacturing techniques with design theory. Lessons focus on developing creativity, resilience and technical precision, preparing students successfully for both GCSE and A-Level qualifications.

The department works closely together to develop exciting schemes of work and provides students with opportunities to participate in engineering competitions, STEM projects and design exhibitions throughout the year. Staff are encouraged to bring new ideas into the curriculum and continually develop their classroom practice.
