Economics Teacher - Highly Regarded Secondary Academy in Bath
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Paid to scale
The Role
A highly regarded Secondary Academy in Bath is seeking a professional, analytical, and highly organised Economics Teacher to join their prestigious Social Sciences faculty. This is a premier opportunity to work within a well-structured and supportive school environment where Economics is a massively popular and successful choice for senior student cohorts transitioning to top-tier university frameworks.
The successful candidate will deliver a dynamic and challenging timetable across Key Stages 4 and 5, splitting instructional focus between microeconomic models, market failure parameters, and fiscal policy tracking at A-Level, alongside global trade patterns, inflation data, and economic growth indicators. Beyond classroom teaching, you will be expected to construct analytical student progress logs, update school compliance tracking systems, manage internal departmental communications, and actively mentor students entering national investment banking simulations, public policy debates, and young enterprise challenges.
You will support crisp communication with parents, university finance networks, and external examination boards, ensuring that all examination documentation, progress folders, and student assessment metrics are processed with total accuracy. Strong administrative and organizational skills are crucial, as the role requires managing distinct specification tracking channels across a large and driven Sixth Form group.
The academy is looking for a proactive, reliable professional who can deconstruct complex monetary theories, global trade metrics, and financial frameworks into crisp, engaging, and high-impact lessons. Strong communication, data literacy, and a collaborative spirit are important to thriving within this highly driven academic team.
