Attendance Officer
A highly regarded Independent School in Blackpool is seeking a dedicated and organised Attendance Officer to join its pastoral support team on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator who understands the importance of excellent attendance in supporting student achievement and wellbeing. The successful candidate will work closely with students, parents, pastoral leaders and external agencies to promote high levels of attendance and punctuality across the school.
You will be responsible for monitoring daily attendance, completing first-day absence procedures, maintaining accurate attendance records and analysing attendance data to identify trends and areas requiring intervention. You will produce reports for senior leaders, coordinate attendance meetings and support the implementation of attendance improvement strategies.
Working alongside the safeguarding and pastoral teams, you will ensure statutory attendance procedures are followed, maintain accurate records using the school's management information system and contribute to safeguarding processes where attendance concerns require further action.
The successful candidate will possess excellent organisational skills, outstanding communication abilities and the confidence to build positive relationships with students and families while maintaining high expectations.
