Exam Officer
A prestigious Independent School in Durham is seeking an organised and detail-oriented Exam Officer to join its support staff team on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator who thrives in a structured environment and has the organisational skills to manage all aspects of the school's internal and external examination processes. The successful candidate will ensure examinations are delivered efficiently, securely and in full compliance with examination board regulations.
You will oversee the complete examination cycle from initial entries through to the publication of results. Responsibilities include managing examination entries, maintaining accurate candidate records, coordinating access arrangements, liaising with examination boards and ensuring all deadlines are met.
Working closely with senior leaders, teaching staff and SEND colleagues, you will organise examination timetables, recruit and manage invigilators, prepare examination rooms and ensure all JCQ regulations are followed throughout every examination period.
You will also be responsible for processing post-results services, maintaining confidential examination documentation, producing reports and ensuring students receive accurate examination information.
The successful candidate will possess exceptional organisational skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work calmly under pressure during busy examination periods.
