CORE PURPOSE
We require an analytical, highly engaging Psychology Teacher to deliver outstanding social science instruction across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5. Operating within a premium independent day school framework, the successful candidate will facilitate a rigorous, scientific curriculum designed to foster deep conceptual understanding of human behavior, neurological processes, and empirical research methodologies, preparing all students thoroughly for exceptional outcomes in terminal GCSE Psychology and linear A-Level Psychology public examinations.

Research Methodology & Statistics Mastery: Train students to a high technical standard in empirical research design, guiding them through the mathematical demands of descriptive and inferential statistics, data interpretation, and ethical research protocols.
Extended Prose & Essay Scaffolding: Guide examination cohorts systematically through the demands of high-tariff extended writing tasks, teaching students how to structure coherent, AO3-focused evaluative arguments using precise psychological terminology and empirical evidence.
Elite Portfolio & UCAS Mentorship: Track student progress metrics meticulously to ensure exceptional high-grade boundary retention, providing scholarly mentoring to bridge the gap to undergraduate-level psychological, neuroscience, or medical degrees.
Holistic Pastoral & House Mentorship: Fulfill full form tutor and house responsibilities within our established independent school structure, supporting student wellbeing, contributing to co-curricular clubs, and maintaining proactive, professional partnerships with families.
PROFILE REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised equivalent teaching credential, paired with a strong honours degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a closely related scientific discipline. Eligibility for graduate basis for chartered membership with the BPS is highly desirable.
Pedagogical Capability: A proven track record or clear capacity to deliver top-tier progress metrics and exceptional high-grade boundary retention in terminal public GCSE and A-Level examinations within an ambitious, high-attaining setting.
