Business Teacher Role in a High-Performing Secondary School
A high-performing Secondary School in Walsall is seeking to appoint an ambitious and knowledgeable Business Teacher to join its successful Business and Economics department from September. About the Role
The successful candidate will teach Business across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging and academically rigorous lessons that develop students' commercial awareness, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills.
Students explore a broad curriculum including marketing, finance, operations, human resources, business strategy, and entrepreneurship. You will prepare learners for GCSE and A-Level examinations while encouraging them to apply business theory to real-world scenarios and contemporary economic issues.
You will also contribute to the wider life of the department through enterprise initiatives, careers education, employer engagement, and enrichment activities that inspire students to pursue further study and careers in business.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Business across KS4 and KS5
Deliver engaging, challenging, and well-structured lessons
Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations
Develop students' analytical, evaluative, and commercial awareness
Assess progress and provide high-quality feedback
Support curriculum planning and departmental development
Contribute to enterprise projects, careers events, and enrichment activities
Foster an inclusive classroom environment where all students can succeed

Candidate Requirements
Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Business at secondary level
Ability to teach KS4 and KS5 confidently
Strong subject knowledge in Business Studies
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Desirable
Experience teaching A-Level Business
Ability to contribute to enterprise and careers programmes
Experience supporting sixth form students
A proven track record of securing strong student outcomes
