Attendance Officer
A highly regarded Independent School in Oxford is seeking a dedicated and organised Attendance Officer to join its pastoral support team on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator who understands the significant impact that attendance and punctuality have on student achievement and wellbeing. The successful candidate will work closely with students, families, teaching staff and external agencies to promote excellent attendance across the school.
You will be responsible for monitoring daily attendance, carrying out first-day response procedures, maintaining accurate attendance records and producing regular attendance reports for senior leaders. You will identify attendance concerns, implement intervention strategies and coordinate meetings with parents and carers where appropriate.
The successful candidate will ensure statutory attendance procedures are followed, maintain accurate data using the school's management information system and contribute to safeguarding processes where attendance concerns require further investigation.
You will build positive relationships with students and families while maintaining high expectations and supporting the school's commitment to outstanding attendance.

Requirements
• Previous attendance, pastoral or school administration experience desirable
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational abilities
• Ability to analyse attendance data and produce reports
• Experience using school management systems desirable
