Spanish Teaching Role in a Catholic Secondary School
A highly regarded Catholic Secondary School in Coventry is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Spanish Teacher to join its successful Modern Foreign Languages department from September. About the Role
You will teach Spanish across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging lessons that inspire students to become confident communicators and independent language learners.
Students will develop their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills while exploring the culture, history, and traditions of Spanish-speaking countries. You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations, supporting them in achieving excellent outcomes and progressing to higher education and international opportunities.
The successful candidate will contribute to language enrichment activities, cultural events, educational visits, and exchange opportunities that enhance students' learning experiences beyond the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Spanish across KS3, KS4, and KS5
Deliver engaging and challenging language lessons
Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations
Develop students' communication, literacy, and cultural understanding
Assess student work and provide detailed, constructive feedback
Monitor progress and implement intervention strategies where required
Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
Support language clubs, cultural events, and educational visits

Candidate Requirements
Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Spanish at secondary level
Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently
Strong subject knowledge of Spanish language and culture
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Desirable
Experience teaching A-Level Spanish
Ability to teach a second language such as French or German
Experience contributing to international or cultural enrichment programmes
Strong track record of examination success and pupil progress
