Business Teaching Role in a Grammar School
A distinguished Grammar School in Norwich is seeking to appoint an outstanding Business Teacher to join its successful Business and Economics department from September. About the Role
You will teach Business Studies across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging and academically rigorous lessons that challenge students to think critically and apply business concepts to real-world contexts.
Students will study topics including marketing, finance, operations, human resources, strategic management, and business decision-making. You will support learners in developing analytical, evaluative, and research skills while preparing them for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
The successful candidate will contribute to enterprise activities, business competitions, university preparation programmes, and enrichment opportunities that broaden students' understanding of the commercial sector.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Business Studies across KS4 and KS5
Deliver engaging and intellectually challenging lessons
Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations
Assess student work and provide detailed, constructive feedback
Monitor progress and implement targeted intervention strategies
Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
Support enterprise initiatives and enrichment activities
Maintain high expectations for academic achievement and student conduct

Candidate Requirements
Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Business Studies at secondary level
Ability to teach KS4 and KS5 confidently
Strong subject knowledge in Business and related disciplines
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Desirable
Experience teaching A-Level Business
Experience working within a selective or grammar school environment
Ability to contribute to enterprise and careers programmes
Strong track record of examination success and student progress
