CORE PURPOSE
We require an innovative, industry-focused Science Teacher to deliver outstanding biology, chemistry, and physics instruction across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5. Operating within a progressive studio school framework, the successful candidate will facilitate a project-based, practical curriculum designed to foster deep scientific enquiry, analytical reasoning, and workplace-ready technical skills, preparing all pupils thoroughly for terminal GCSE Combined/Separate Science examinations and vocational STEM pathways.

KEY TASKS & DAILY OPERATIONS
Project-Based STEM Instruction: Plan, resource, and deliver high-quality science lessons that integrate core biology, chemistry, and physics principles into practical, real-world work projects designed alongside local employers.
Closing Attainment Gaps: Identify and target learning barriers, deploying structured scaffolding, interactive digital modelling, and targeted literacy interventions to accelerate the progress of all pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEND).
Rigorous Laboratory Leadership: Manage busy school laboratory spaces with flawless adherence to CLEAPSS health and safety standards, teaching safe experimental techniques, risk assessment, and proper handling of scientific apparatus.
GCSE & Technical Tracking: Guide Key Stage 4 cohorts systematically through the demands of terminal Foundation and Higher tier GCSE Science papers, meticulously tracking progress data to eliminate practical misconceptions and maximize high-grade boundary retention.
Workplace Pastoral Mentorship: Fulfil full personal tutor responsibilities within a professional mentoring structure, managing daily engagement, delivering enterprise curriculum units, and maintaining proactive, supportive communication with families and industry partners.
PROFILE REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised equivalent teaching credential, paired with a strong honours degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a closely related natural science discipline.
Pedagogical Capability: A proven track record or clear capacity to deliver strong progress metrics in terminal public GCSE examinations alongside vocational STEM qualifications through structured, explicit, and contextualized pedagogy.
