An inspiring Secondary School in Portsmouth is seeking a professional and highly organised Business Studies Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join their experienced social sciences team. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day instructional support across Key Stages 4 and 5 and assist senior leaders, teaching staff, and wider academic teams. Responsibilities will include maintaining student progress records, updating school tracking systems, managing departmental correspondence, supporting attendance administration, and assisting with the organisation of young entrepreneur schemes, mock enterprise events, and corporate insight days.
You will also support communication with parents, students, and external business mentors while ensuring that information is handled professionally and confidentially at all times. Strong organisational skills are essential, as the role requires the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and manage multiple responsibilities within a busy school environment.
The school is looking for someone who is proactive, reliable, and able to bring real-world corporate case studies to life while working as part of a collaborative business faculty. Good IT skills and confidence using learning logs are important, alongside strong communication and interpersonal skills.
