Science Teaching Role in a Faith School
A well-respected Faith School in Luton is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join its successful Science department from September. This is a full-time role within a supportive and values-led school that combines academic excellence with outstanding pastoral care.

About the Role
You will teach Science across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging and challenging lessons that inspire students and support excellent academic progress.
The role will involve teaching Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach your specialist science at A-Level depending on your experience and expertise.
You will support students in developing practical laboratory skills, analytical thinking, and scientific literacy while preparing them for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
Working within a collaborative and high-performing department, you will contribute to curriculum development, STEM initiatives, and enrichment activities that enhance student engagement with science.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Science across KS3, KS4, and KS5
Deliver engaging lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations
Plan and supervise practical laboratory activities
Assess student work and provide detailed, constructive feedback
Monitor progress and implement targeted intervention strategies
Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
Support STEM clubs, competitions, and enrichment opportunities

Candidate Requirements
Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Science at secondary level
Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently
Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Desirable
Experience teaching A-Level Science
Experience working within a faith-based or values-led school
Ability to contribute to STEM enrichment activities
Strong track record of examination success and pupil progress
