English Teacher — Outstanding 11-18 Academy in Staffordshire

An Ofsted-rated Outstanding 11-18 academy in Staffordshire is seeking an enthusiastic and talented English Teacher to join its highly regarded English faculty. This is an exceptional opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about literature and language and who wants to work within a school community where academic ambition and student wellbeing sit side by side.
The successful candidate will teach English Language and English Literature across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (AQA), planning and delivering lessons that challenge and inspire students of all abilities. You will be expected to contribute actively to the department's whole-school reading programme, support exam preparation for Year 11 students, and maintain accurate and timely records of student progress across all classes. The department values creative approaches to text and language study, and you will be encouraged to bring fresh ideas to curriculum planning and enrichment.
Other responsibilities include contributing to the school's literacy enrichment calendar — including World Book Day events, author visits, and a student literary magazine — and supporting the faculty's work with feeder primary schools as part of the transition programme.

Requirements
Degree in English and QTS
Strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4 English Language and Literature
A track record of delivering engaging, high-quality lessons
Commitment to whole-school literacy and a love of reading
Strong organisational and communication skills
